I was in London when Don passed, so I just recently learned of his passing. I have been playing tennis with Don for over 12 years. He was a great sport and brought an enjoyment to the court. We exchanged jokes and discussions on many issues. I found him to be very opened minded. So even when he disagreed with you, it was with a light touch and never personal. He will be missed.

So sad to hear of his passing, we were good friends. We met at the Canejo Ski Club and what a joy it was to be around him. We skied so many miles together I will always cherish the time we spent at the Ski Club, the trips to Mamouth Mt. the many friends we had at the club. I won't forget you, may God grant you permission to ski in Heaven Don.

I became friends with Don in elementary school, over seventy years ago and we remained friends ever since. I can best vouch for his "mischievous energy" as he is described in his obit. That phrase can accurately describe me. Ironically, our adult lives contained two common strains...we were both financial planner and both had an avocation in music--he a crooner, me a pianist. In junior high we shared the stage in "Sourwood Mountain", a musical.
Our frequent telephone conversations were always a joy.

I am sorry to hear that Don has passed away. He was larger than life, funnier than most, wise and the definition of friend.
