I am sorry to hear that Doris has died. I seem to have lost contact over these past years. However I remember her as a careing fun loving person. My condolences to her husband, Don and family.

Doris has been a dearest friend and confidante since we met at Ventura First Baptist Church in 1956. Over the years, we spent many hours of spiritual time and fun time together. There was very little that Doris and I could not discuss. Doris and Don have been like extended family. She was a beautiful example of a warm and caring Christian Woman.

So, it was with great sadness that I could not attend her Memorial Service yesterday due to the closure of CA Highway 101 at Montecito and Tule Fog on CA Highway 46.

Don, Wendy, Cheryl, Mark, Robert, Britta and Stefan, please cherish the time you have spent with your wife, Mom, Mother-in-law, and Grandmother. I shall ,and, I shall miss her always.

Doris and I became friends about 1963 at the First Baptist Church in Ventura. She and I did may things together including rearing two daughters about the same age. We attended many circle groups together along with other friends and had many many long conversations on the phone sharing prayer requests and praises. She truly loved out Lord with all her heart. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. But we will meet again. She will not return to us, but we will go to her. 11 Samuel 12:22b. We will meet again. Lovingly Jane Donaldson
