I loved Bob and Gail Harwood. My husband and I worked for them when we were teenagers. My husband had a motor paper route and I worked in the office with Mrs. Harwood. As a teenager, she taught me what it meant to be a reliable and responsible employee. She was always laughing and smiling. And, Bob had a great sense of humor. Working for them was a pleasure! Gail was like a second mother to me. She was never to busy to listen to my teenage ""problems". And, of course, offer her advice.

Julie, Merwyn and I have such wonderful memories of your family. They are forever in our hearts.

Bob and Gail were my parents best friends shortly after WWII along with the Ridgways. Ventura was a small town at that time. Young couples were trying to find their way after WWII. Careers and new families. Throughout the decades Bob and Gail were always there for my parents. Later years their friendship was re-estaablished. Bob passed away, Gail became a wonderful close friend once again. Mother (Roma Chander) and Gail took a couple of Princess Cruises together. Gail was always upbeat. Had a great laugh and I would like to add beautiful skin. I do remember her telling us one Christmas that she never allowed Greg or Julie to decorate the Christmas tree. She wanted it to have a special look only she could give it. Gail was such a positive person always seeing the world with rose colored glasses. She was the last of the WWII gang. I'm sure the Ventura gang is together once again. Let the party continue!

Julie, Your Mom was a precious woman I remember well! She was so kind and a beautiful smile. So sorry she is gone from you, for the moment, but I know you will see her again...:) Peace and love to you and yours at this time! An old friend,

Dear Julie.... Very sorry to hear that you have lost your Mother. She. Was a lovely person. Such a sweet face and smile. I often think of Greg.
