I met John at least ten years ago in the locker room of the CMH Fastrack fitness center. We chatted 3-4 days a week while showering and shaving after working out in the center.
I learned much of John's career and his family life in addition to his passion for restoring automobiles. His love of family was foremost and he shared with me how he has been a caregiver for his wife Geri and I grew to have a tremendous admiration for a man who gave so much while dealing with his own very significant health issues.
I moved from Ventura several years ago and have not seen John since that time. I must admit that I have missed our locker room conversations.
My sincerest condolences to the Singer family. Your loss is truly a great one.
