I was recently informed of this sad news from John Murdock. I wanted to say that Leverett Jenks was my bosses boss for many years and my boss for a few years. Leverett interviewed me for my first job out of college. I was impressed with his knowledge of Guidance and Control then and became more impressed as the years working with him went on. The Guidance team thrived under Leverett's leadership. He was very successful at working across company boundaries - there were five major aerospace companies working in Guidance during my first job with Leverett as the lead. Leverett was a true rocket scientist. He could weed out the real problem from a "concern" very quickly. He would quickly form the team that was needed to solve the real problem. The result was a very and end with a very successful program. I will remember him fondly and proudly for the rest of my life.

I worked for Leverette. He was the best leader I ever had. I am so sorry to read of his passing. I also note that he was one of the smartest persons I ever knew. I will hold him in my memory forever.

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Mr Leverett Jenks. Leverett was a keen family historian. We shared a common ancestor born in 1767 in Chester, John Beckett. We exchanged emails and put our heads together to find out more about the family of our ancestors. Leverett sent me a card each year. I will miss his dry humour and his kind polite friendly emails. Thank you for your genuine friendship Leverett. May you rest in peace in God's care. As you used to say, "my fondest regards distant kin" . Your distant kin in Australia, Christine.
