I was sad to learn about Dicks passing....and also sad that I wasn't in town to attend his services. He always had a smile on his face and a positive word for everyone. On the tennis court, his left handed spin shot was like no other (so was his firm hand shake). I will miss seeing him in church on Sundays. My condolences to all of you. Linda White

I met Dick when he,Scott,Wendy and Jeff came up to Burlington,Canada at Thanksgiving. I had met Wendy once and knew Jeff from sailing with my daughter Cathy on Class Afloat. I was a little nervous about entertaining them as I had been told how organized Wendy was and that she was an interior decorator. What to do? My mother and I went shopping and bought a few fake plants to put around the house! The reality was I had no reason to be stressed. In came the Millers, including Dick. My first thought when I met him was what a kind, genteel man. He was eager to meet the family. His eyes sparkled and he had such a warm, genuine smile. We sat down to a traditional turkey dinner and he ate with enthusiasm. I felt he appreciated all my effort. Everything about Dick was energetic and positive. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I am grateful to have shared this celebration with Dick, Scott, Wendy and Jeff. I will always remember Dick as kind, gentle, and a man of honour.
