I am proud to call him Grandpa, but he was more than that to me. He was my Father figure, my best friend, my buddy. We share the same kind of humor and would crack each other up. He was the strongest Man I've ever known. I will miss him but I know he is dancing on streets of GOLD with my Grandma.... his true love.

Bob Dairies will always represent the constant light of Christ. His legacy of compassion, love, peace, nobility, and kindness is lasting and unforgettable. What an incredible man.

Our condolences go out to Bob's family. We got to know Bob when he would come in for Sunday lunch at our restaurant. What a gracious, kind and interesting man he was. We have missed him these last few months but know it was difficult for him to drive to Santa Paula. He has been missed but now we know he is dancing in paradise with his love.

I will always remember my dear friend as Grandpa. I loved him as though he were part of my family. I've known him for the past 12 years, but because he and his family embraced my husband, son, and I, it feels like it was longer. I'll never forget sitting around our kitchen table having a bite to eat, even the really good "mess up cookies". , a pizza he insisted on grabbing from around the corner, or out at a few local establishments. It was evident of his love and devotion to his wife and how he deeply missed her. He'd share stories of his life with us and a treasure trove of history. He took us on tours of Santa Paula to all the locations like he and his wife lived. The army life, engineering, working out in the yard, and Bible studies parallel my own fathers. Thank you for your kindness, warmth and welcoming heart. I will truly miss you.
