I just found out about my dear sandy's passing. I met Sandy when she moved to visalia. She walked into the salon I worked at with her sweet southern accent and wanted me to color her hair. And she came to me ever since then. I always looked forward to her appointments because it was always more like visiting with family. She loved when I gave her my son's sports pictures and would bring him gifts on Christmas even when she hadn't met him yet. She would come visit me even when it wasn't her appointment day. And everytime she would always give me a hug, a kiss on the cheek and tell me she loved me. I was so sad when she decided to move back to Virginia but I knew she was homesick and wanted to be with her momma. I hadn't been able to reach her for a few months until I found out today of her passing. I hope that if her family reads this that they know what an amazing, kind, sweet hearted woman she was. I am so happy that I was able to meet her and get my time with her. I hope she knows how much she meant to me.

I just found out today that Sandy had passed, and I'm still reeling from the shock. She and I were friends from the 7th Grade at Joseph Martin and for the rest of her life. We spoke a month or so ago, and she said she felt fine, but was staying close to home. Though she loved spending time in CA with Scott so that he could help her through the worst of it, for which she was truly grateful, she was thrilled to be back in Martinsville to be with the rest of the family.

I haven't been able to reach her so I suppose she was in the hospital or didn't feel like talking.

I miss her already, and I send my sincere and deepest sympathy to Scott, Jay, Connie, Charlie and Donnie, and, of course, the grandchildren.

She was so kind and we had great conversations that were hilarious and uplifted us both.

I'll miss you forever, my friend. Rest In Peace. You deserve it.
