Dear Sheila, Julie, Nancy, and Anne,
Your dad was the consummate newsman -- curious, smart, honest, and always after the story. For those of us cub reporters in the late 60s, his dedication and commitment to the newspaper business was an inspiration, and as city editor, he worked to bring out the best in us. We enjoyed endless hours of news talk together along with so many laughs during and definitely after work. I enjoyed the continuing friendship with him and your mom after those Blade days and share with you the sadness of losing them. Pat Jones Green
