I worked with Whitey at Griffith Stadium in the 50s and had wonderful times with both your Mom & Dad back in the "old days". They were a great couple! Sorry I've lost touch thru the years. My prayers for all of you! Jack Hughes

A St. Jude Sodality friend with my Mom, Joyce Seng, Mrs. Barry taught guitar to my brother Will and me probably between 1968-70. Although a relatively brief period a long time ago, I have fond memories of Mrs. Barry's patience with me despite my infrequent practicing and occasional bad habits. One example is the time when only hours before my next lesson, I couldn't find a guitar pick, so I substituted for a Lincoln penny. I didn't get too far in my plucking before her eagle eye and well-trained ear picked up on the poor substitute. The look on her face I can barely recall was certainly a mix of amazement and disappointment, but maybe she'd seen it all before from her younger students. She handed me a real pick, and I moved on with I'm sure another cringe-worthy performance.

I was privileged to play guitar with her family at a handful of folk Masses at St. Jude's and appreciate Mrs. Barry taking a chance on me. What's more, getting the opportunity to watch The Paragons family band rehearse in their home made a deep and positive impression on me that live performing was really cool.

Although I didn't continue with guitar until now much later in life, it's a small world. I'm delighted to reconnect with Mrs. Barry's son Donald on drums and me back on guitar with other newer friends in a band we have.

I'm sorry not to have visited Mrs. Barry recently, but will certainly keep her and the entire Barry family in prayers.

Patsy and I were close friends with Helen and Whitey for over fifty years. Very sad to learn of Helen's passing she was a kind, loving, generous lady and will be missed by all......

Aunt Helen and Uncle Whitey have been in our lives since we were all babies growing up in Beltsville in the Hall family.
Our deepest sympathy to all Aunt Helens friends and family. I know Aunt Helen was greeted by my Mom Aunt Patsy and Uncle Whitey. She no longer has to suffer in a hospital or rehab and am sure she is out of any pain. On angel's wings. May memories of her always make you smile.

My deepest sympathy to the family. May the God of Comfort help you endure as you grieve the loss of your mother, grandmother, and loved one.

Our sincere and deepest condolences to the family on the loss of your loved one. Please know those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a loved one's gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, for as long as there is memory, they'll live on in the heart. May the God of comfort sustain you during your grieving process with the thought your love one will remain in God's memory.

My deepest sympathies to my Barry family. I love your mom, my Aunt Helen, deeply and have fond memories of her and your dad especially during the time after we lost my dad back in 1978. The times we gathered for Nonnie's birthdays and other family reunions at your home in Aspen Hill are forever engraved in my mind. She will be greatly missed but she is with your dad now and my mom, Aunt Teresa and Uncle Jim, Aunt Lucille and now Uncle Fred and Uncle Jimmy and of course our beloved Nonnie and all of them. My love and prayers to each of you my cousins during this difficult time. I know that all of them, our parents and Aunt Lucille and Uncle Fred are having a grand ole time up there; together again. Oh the stories I am sure they are sharing and keeping an eye on all of us. Love you all! Your Cousin, Pat Hutchison, T.,O.Carm.
