I just learned moments ago of Mr. McNeil's passing. Mrs. McNeil, Warren, Derrick and Troy, you have my deepest sympathy and that of my family. When I was 8/9 years old, Mr. McNeil shared his love of baseball with me and other boys in the neighborhood. He was one of the elders in our Glendarden/Ardmore village. Today, at 55, I owe much of who I am to people like Mr. McNeil who saw all of the children in the neighborhood as his own. One of my proudest moments was when I knocked on his - always open - front door and introduced my son, a baseball player, to him! We will miss Mr. McNeil, but his legacy lives on in each of us. May God bless the family. Sincerely, Gerald Wilson
