To the family of Penny, You all have my deepest sympathy, I graduated with Penny and also had the privilege of working with her for a time at Connexus Credit Union. She was a very kind, and sincere person, with a terrific sense of humor too. Please know, the fond memories she is leaving behind, and I am sharing in thinking of her with gratitude for knowing her. My prayers are with all of you. Shirley Zelazoski

I am in shock at this terribly sad news, as whenever I think of Penny I remember our wonderful times after work in Mattoon. We giggled until all hours of the night.
Brett, many years later was a friend to our daughter. I send many hugs to the family and will pray for all of you. You were so lucky to have such a special wife, Mom, and Grandma.
God Bless

Our condolences she truly was a humble and God fearing woman. I remember her smile growing up at Our Saviors. May the Lord comfort you in your time of loss.

Penny was such a good friend to me and I have so many good memories starting in the first grade. There were the nights of playing Kick the Can at her house, cheer leading in the eighth grade, walking the streets of Mattoon trying to solve all our boy problems and I am sure we thought we could solve all the world problems also if anyone would just have listened to us. Rollerskating at Shady View and all the dances at Bowler and the Tigerton Dells and after we would have to go to the little diner in Wittenberg for French fries. Oh what were we thinking?? Many late nights and many miles we would put on. We supported each other through high school which was not always easy. She tried very hard to help me with shorthand, but it was a lost cause. There was the road trip we took starting at the Wisconsin Dells and ending up in upper Michigan and the the trip with a couple of other girls to South Carolina. Fun Fun. Even though we did not see each other very often in the last few years, she never forgot my birthday. I will always cherish all the memories we shared, the happy and at times the sad. I know that she is in God's loving arms. RIP until we meet again.
Rick my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
