Shannon Marie Dye, 33, of Columbia, Mo., went to meet her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at University Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Shannon was born June 4, 1984, in Quincy, a daughter of Timothy M. Leahy Sr. and Michele (Winters) Alger. She was married Sept. 1, 2007, at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Quincy to the love of her life, Brandon T. Dye, who survives. She was a 2003 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and received her associate in arts degree from John Wood Community College, both in Quincy. Shannon loved life and lived each day to the fullest. She loved adventures and spending time with her family and friends. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center for the wonderful care and compassion extended to Brandon and Shannon throughout this difficult journey, as well as all those who helped by hosting benefits.
