I was an foreign exchange student hosted on Matt´s home in Indiana during summer 1995.
Today, I was wondering how Matt was doing, and why I couldn´t find him on Facebook or other social network. Then I found this webs site. I´m really sad.

Matt was an excellent human being. He was so nice, generous and altruistic. I had the best summer on my teenage with him, learning English, visiting IN and surroundings, knowing American culture,...

I´m sure God is rewarding him.
Adios amigo, un abrazo desde Madrid.

Matt truly was a amazing guy. I recently had posted an old Drama Club pic from high school, and it is still evident that even after almost 30 years,so many of us are still shocked he is gone. There was a deviousness and silliness factor to Matt that was so infectious. He had a smile that just took over his face, and so much talent and drive in high school that you knew whatever he put his mind to,he was going to succeed. Reading these stories about how he lived after graduating Calhi confirms it. My last memory with Matt was running into each other at Puente Hills 20 theater where we saw one of the most god awful movies ever made,"Night of the Living Creeps". Matt and I had a giggle fest making fun of the movie, and yelling things at the screen. He was smart, handsome, extremely talented,so preppy,so funny, and a great friend. Time has not diminished how loved and missed he is!

Over 3 years have passed since I got that phone call of Matt's passing. It's amazing how much I've thought about his kindness and fun personality. His passing has reinforced in my mind that life is simply too short. You're missed Matt.

Where to start its been hard to deal with him passing on. He was my friend, my hero, my helping hand, the guy that guided me and put my life back on track when no one else could. Theres not a day that dont go by I dont think of him. My thoughts and prayers are with his parents although I never met you guys I herd a lot about you 2 and Matt always talked about how good parents you 2 was. I have a blown up picture of Matt in my room and keep one in my purse I never leave home with out it. I will always remember those words he would tell me " keep your head up amanda, and you will be on the next minority counsel in Washington" well I havent made it there yet..but I am doing everything possiable to one day be there....I Miss U matt RIP
