Katherine (Lupe) De La Torre
August 11, 1930 - September 26, 2016
Lifetime resident of Los Angeles, California. Moved with her family to Pico Rivera in 1940. Attended North Ranchito Grammar School, Sacred Heart of Mary High School and Pasadena City College. Employed by Economy Rentals for 30 years. Artist, animal lover, history buff, avid reader. Active in Native Daughters of the Golden West, Whittier Parlor. Survived by her sister Anna Marie. Has happily reunited with her parents, Guillermo and Concepcion, brothers Gonzalo and Marcos, and sisters Alice and Connie, along with all the animals she cared for and loved. Eternal thanks to Lori and Stephanie for their wonderful care at Golden Life Manor during her last days. Service will be held at Saint Matthias Church in Whittier on Saturday, October 8 at 1:00pm.
