R. Michael Rice, 68, of Brookline, Michael, known as "Killer" to those who loved him best, died after an honorable fight against cancer on March 22nd, 2021 at home, surrounded by family and friends. Michael was the most humble, gentle and accepting person anyone could know. Always known as a hard worker and amazing friend, he enjoyed a good time with friends and family. Michael will be forever remembered for his "Dude" and "Little girl" go to phrases. He was a lifelong Patriots and Red Sox fan and spent many nights on the phone discussing plays with his siblings and friends. He enjoyed his time at the Elks Club, The Corrib and especially the Community at Brookline Village. Michael leaves his loving brother Stephan Rice and his wife Jennifer of Toronto, Canada and his sister, Marybeth Jenkins and her husband Keith of Hanover as well as two generations of nieces and nephews. Michael was a man of integrity and honor who just wanted everyone to get along. He will be greatly and sadly missed. The family would like to thank Jim Santagati for all the care and friendship he gave Michael in his last days. Cremation will be private. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in his name to the SPCA and St Jude's Hospital.
