Martha D. (Anderson) Blounts, fondly known as Marty and Mom, of Raynham, passed away on July 15, 2020, at the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late Georgianna (Tuttle) and John Anderson. Marty was born and raised in Pennsylvania and graduated Swathmore High School in 1948. Marty was an amazing seamstress who worked in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace making clothes; she made costumes for the Mummers in the Mummers Day Parade in Philadelphia, PA, as well as lovingly making beautiful clothes and crafts for her children and grandchildren. Marty married Joe Blounts in 1949. They were married for 70 beautiful years, and together they lovingly raised six children. Marty was such a kind, beautiful, classy, fun and funny lady who put her family before herself always. She loved to be around people and made many friends everywhere she went. Martys favorite things to do were dancing with her beloved husband, Joe, and being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family is so grateful and blessed to have had her in their lives every day that they did. She will be missed beyond words. Marty is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Joseph (Joe) Blounts, son Wayne Blounts and his wife Wendy, son Glenn Blounts and his wife Akie, son Jack Blounts and his wife Jan, son Gregg Blounts and his wife Carla, daughter Bonnie Johnson and her husband Steve, daughter Dawn Jones and her husband Davy, grandchildren, Jeff Blounts and his wife Melissa, Mike Blounts and his wife Jenny, April Blounts, Ryan Blounts, Kimberly Blounts, Wayne Blounts, Elizabeth Blounts, Damion Johnson and his wife Julie, Christopher Johnson and his wife LeighAnn, Joseph Johnson and his wife Cassie, Amanda Johnson and her husband David, Tom Jones and his wife Laura, and Jacquelyn Martha Jones, her namesake. Great-grandchildren, Wayne, Elizabeth, Gabriella, Tabitha, Hazel, Declan, Julianna, Sean, Kerrigan, Hannah, Evie, Aden, Chandler, Grayson, Landon, Riley, Aden, Journey, London, Kaitlyn, Oakley Jack. Visiting hours will be held at Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgwater, on Friday, July 24 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. A private family burial will follow at Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham.
