MAYRAND, Coltyn Louis Lucier
Passed away suddenly at the CKHA-Chatham Campus on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the young age of 16. Coltyn was born on September 26, 1995 and lived his life in Chatham and Lake Morningstar. Beloved son of Lori-Anne Lucier and Paul Mayrand. Cherished brother to Page and Emma-Tyme Mayrand. Treasured grandson of Liz and Doug English also of Lake Morningstar, Lou Lucier and Lucille Boucher of Lighthouse Cove, and Louis and Dolores Mayrand of LaSalle. Sadly missed by several aunts and uncles; Ken Lucier of Chatham, Paulette and Leon Drouillard of Amherstburg, Yvette and Tim Sullivan of LaSalle, Sue and Pete Houghton of LaSalle, Denise and Dan Mayrand of LaSalle, Jodi Burke and Ken Collard of Sunshine Coast, B.C., Stacey and Christine Burke of Australia. A special place in the hearts of Dave Williams, Sarah and Jeff Williams. Also lovingly remembered by many cousins, extended family and friends. Pre-deceased by great-uncle Hector Lucier (2012), great-great-aunt Reta Couture (2011), grandmother Eve Lucier (2007), and great-grandmother Cecile Kowalyk (2007). A past student of Our Lady of Fatima and Monsignor Uyen, and a dedicated grade 11 student of Chatham Kent Secondary School where he was highly regarded and supported; he was wise beyond his years. Coltyn had a remarkable character, and touched the hearts of many, young and old. Colt will forever be remembered for being an extraordinary son, brother and friend, who was exceptionally kind in his words, generous in his deeds and outstanding in his academics. Always understanding and compassionate with a keen sense of humour. Coltyn was extremely dedicated and thoroughly enjoyed his involvement and time spent in the Sears Drama program, paintball, and scouts, especially their annual canoe camp excursion on the Magnetewan River. His patience and acceptance of others was greatly admired and only surpassed by his strength, courage, and loyalty to be true to his genuine self. Family to receive friends at the:
McKinlay Funeral Home

on Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
