Mary Potter was my much-loved teacher at BHHS junior school. She also taught my daughters, Emily and Melissa Mileham. She was a lovely caring person. Sympathy and condolences to her friends and family.

I feel fortunate to have had Miss Potter as my form teacher, in Junior School during the 1950s - a very long time ago now. My father had recently died and Miss Potter acted very thoughtfully. Her kindness has always been remembered by me and helped me very much at the time. Miss Potter was a great teacher to have, always approachable and prepared to make time for you as well as being involved and encouraging in her teaching and during any sports.
I, of course, as a young child never realised that she was so young in those days!
I was sad to hear of her death and would certainly have come to the service of thanksgiving had I been in the uk.
I offer my sincere condolences to her friends and family and sign off, in the name Miss Potter knew then, as Jennifer Lees Jones,
