My belated condolences on the loss of your mother. I, like Helen were students of your mother's in the 70's & 80's. I credit your mom and horses with who I am today, and I'm so grateful for her. It was with a lot of patience that she would go to shows with 4 of us, under the age of 17, overnight, and help us achieve our dreams. Thank You. Beth Bradley-Johnson

Sally was my trainer in York (and later in Reisterstown) from about 1970 to 1980, and was a terrific influence in ways that I still recall vividly. She taught me to do things right the first time (from cleaning tack to picking out tails), to love Oreo ice cream (long before it was a thing, she'd make it in a blender) and -- most of all -- to believe in myself and trust that I'd be able to master the craziest or most volatile of horses (or situations in general), as long as I rode with confidence and boldness. Pretty great life lessons. She'll be missed.
