Carol "Jeannie" Hatfield
Frazeysburg - Carol J. "Jeannie" Hatfield, 81, of Dresden, Ohio died Saturday afternoon, January 12, 2019 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.
Born August 21, 1937 in Warsaw, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Sarah (Myers) Scheurman and was a 1955 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Mrs. Hatfield was a homemaker and enjoyed helping with the family farm, gardening and being with her family.
Surviving are three daughters, Lisa M. (Tony) Jaqua of Warsaw, Deborah L. (Eric) Dickson and Stacey J. (Daniel) Hamilton, both of Dresden; three grandchildren, Emily Jaqua, Trever and Grace Dickson; five step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Hatfield whom she married September 3, 1957 and who died March 11, 2017 and a brother, William Scheurman.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the funeral home with Minister Sam Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

I only had the honor of interacting with the family and providing some comfort measures to JEANNIE for only a few hours ,and take comfort in knowing you did your best as a family to keep her at home and guide her thru your love in her final months.
