Christina Small

Frazeysburg - Christina Lynn Small, 61, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Tuesday evening, January 5, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio.

Christina was born October 25, 1959 in Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Kittery, Maine, a daughter of the late Charles O. Dwiggins and Mary Martha (Melick) Dwiggins of Hanover, Ohio. She was a 1977 graduate of Licking Valley High School and was a homemaker.

Growing up as a "military brat" she lived in New Hampshire, Canada, New Mexico, Guam and Massachusetts. She was also able to visit Taipei, Taiwan on Rest and Recreation. Christina enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, bowling and taking care of animals, especially cats. But above all, she loved being with and doing things with her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchild.

Surviving in addition to her mother is her loving husband of nearly 34 years, David R. Small whom she married January 31, 1987; one son, Jason (Jessica) Beckett of Fresno, Ohio; two daughters, Tiffany (Cameron) Hague of Warsaw, Ohio and Samantha (Ben) Castle of Coshocton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Bradin, MeKinna, Allyssa, Harlea, Steven and Brice and one great granddaughter, Novaleigh. Also surviving is one brother, Mark (Lori) Dwiggins of Newark; an aunt, Midge Shepard of Hanover; a special friend, John Rice of Vanatta, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Dwiggins, who died in 1999.

Calling hours will be from NOON to 3pm Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Memorial services will be at 3:00pm Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the funeral home with Minister Eric Miller officiating. Masks are required and social distancing should be observed.
