Richard Hardesty
Zanesville - Richard Colley Hardesty, 83 of Zanesville passed away peacefully on Sunday September 9th at 2:34am. He was born June 3, 1935, in Zanesville to the late Harry and Julie Colley Hardesty.
He was a successful businessman and the owner of Hardesty Insurance Agency on Maple Avenue for over 37 years. Richard was an avid former private pilot and loved traveling with family and friends. He also enjoyed genealogy, golfing, tennis and touring in his RV during his retirement. He was a member of the Zanesville Rotary for members, a longtime member of the Zanesville Country Club, and served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Air National Guard for six years.
Surviving are his wife Barbara Moyer Hardesty; a son Craig (Jennifer) Hardesty; a daughter Anne (Daniel) Eppley; three grandchildren: Alexander Eppley, Madison Burton and Andrew Eppley; and a sister Julie Helland.
A celebration of life officiated by Pete Peterson was held at The Snouffer Funeral Home in Zanesville Ohio.

I just recently learned of his passing I have been doing his hair for quite a few years and been coming to their home to make it easier on him. He has been more than a client I enjoyed spending time and talking with him and Barb when I would come to cut his hair they both were a dear friend my sincere condolences to Barb and their families he will truly be missed Sandy Richardson

Sympathy to the Hardesty family. My Husband, Merrill Gladden, from the Malta area was in the Air Force Reserves with him for 6 years. We didn't keep in contact but sorry about your loss. May God Bless You
