Bridie RUANE Death Notices

RUANE, Bridie (née Tyrrell), Ballybane, Monivea, Athenry, Co Galway, who passed away at home on the 16th October in the loving care of her family. Bridie's husband Thomas, her daughters Bridie, Anne, Kathleen, sons Pat, Jimmy, Tomas, Gabriel, and Oliver, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and extended family, would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all who supported and sympathised with us on our recent sad loss. A special word of thanks to all who called to the house, attended the removal, the funeral Mass and burial. Sincere thanks to all who travelled long distances, telephoned, brought refreshments, food, Mass cards etc. To our wonderful kind neighbours, relatives and friends for their help and support: words can't express our gratitude; we can only say thanks so much to everyone.We convey our deepest thanks to all of the medical teams involved in Bridie's care over the past number of years. Thanks to Dr. Bridget Keane and the staff of the Athenry Medical Centre, our Public Health Nurses, Keith and the staff at Flanagan's Pharmacy Athenry, and also the medical and nursing staff of UHG. A special and sincere word of thanks to Bridie's entire Home Care Team who cared for Bridie so diligently and enabled her to live out her life in her own home. We are deeply indebted to the fantastic staff of The Galway Hospice and especially the Palliative Care Team who attended Bridie to administer medication, and also the Palliative Care Night Nurses who stayed with Bridie in her last week. We are very grateful to Fr John O'Gorman for his friendship, pastoral support, guidance, prayers and for the beautiful funeral Mass. We also appreciate the concelebrants who were present at the Mass. Thanks to Mary Melody for her beautiful singing and music at the funeral Mass, to the gravediggers who prepared Bridie's final resting place with such care and attention, the Mass servers, An Garda Siochana, the teachers and pupils of Garbally N.S for their Guard of Honour, and also to our neighbours and the people of Skehanna parish for their Guard of Honour. We are thankful to our Employers for their understanding and to our co-workers for their support. To Quinn's Funeral Directors Athenry for their sensitivity, kindness and professionalism we thank you. We extend our gratitude to Screene's Bar Guilka for their generosity during Bridie's illness and for their welcoming hospitality, and beautiful meal served after the funeral. To everyone who helped us during Bridie's funeral our sincerest and heartfelt 'Thank you '. Finally, as we find it impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep gratitude for your support and care, Mass will be offered for your intentions. Month's Mind Mass for Bridie Will be offered on Saturday, 19TH November in St Mary's Church Skehanna at 11am.
