The death has occurred of Carmel Torpey (née Whelan)

Carmel Torpey, (née Whelan), Ard Aoibhinn, Athenry, Co. Galway and formerly Cross Street and the Square, Athenry. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Valerie (Kinsella), sister Marie (Gardner), grandchildren Hannah, Emily, Kevin and Stephen, son-in-law Jimmy (Kinsella), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her beloved husband Sean and her brothers Michael, Tony and Kevin.
Reposing at Gardner's Funeral Home, Athenry on Friday November 4th from 6:00 p.m. Removal at 8:00 p.m.to the Church of the Assumption, Athenry. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Athenry. Mass will be streamed live on https://churchmedia.tv/st-marys-parish-1 and can be listened to on parish radio 106.5 fm.

My Deepest sympathies go to my sister Valerie, her husband Jimmy and my nieces and nephews Hannah, Emily, Sean & Paul. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. Also of course Marie and Leo. I will see you all soon. Sean and Carmel together again. May you both rest in peace.
