Colin Keaveny Death Notices

The death has occurred of Colin Keaveny, Doonbeg, Cummer, Tuam and formerly of Rockwood Claregalway and Bohermore Tyre Centre.

On the 3rd of August 2025, Colin passed away peacefully at his home. Beloved husband of Nicola, devoted father to Seán, Cathal and James and adored son of Ann and Jack. Will be sadly missed by his heartbroken sister Kay, mother-in-law Sarah Connolly (Mamó), brothers-in-law Niall and Liam, sisters-in-law Samantha and Michelle, nieces Clíodhna and Saoirse, nephew Conor, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Predeceased by his beloved uncle Peter Tonery and father-in-law John McElhinney and the deceased members of the Keaveny and Tonery families.

May Colin's Kind and Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing in Irwin's Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin (H91 CK84), on Thursday the 7th of August from 5pm. Removal at 7pm to his home. Colin's Requiem Mass will take place on Friday the 8th of August in St. Colman's Church, Corofin (H54 X768), at 11am. Funeral afterwards to The New Cemetery Bohermore.

Parking: There is ample parking available at The Corrib Shopping Centre Multi-Story Car Park (H91 DP6R) which is only 2 minutes walk to/from the funeral home. The entrance to the car park is from Bóthar Na mBan.

I was shocked to hear the passing of Colin I got to know Colin delivering medical supplies to Merlin park hospital the last 2 years and I was always greeted with a smile and have our usual chats. Which I will miss dearly! He was honestly the nicest man I have ever met. Rip Colin
