David Rapp 29th October 1970 - 29th July 2017 The tragic and unexpected death of our wonderful David has changed our lives for ever. He was quite something, touching so many people's lives amd I know that he had no idea how much he'll be missed. I wanted to mark his life, and death, here, where his friends will read it.Your support and presence at Dave's wake meant the world to us, and a day that was always going to be hard, was also made so special because you were there. I also want to acknowledge the incredible support, offered to my family at this impossibly difficult time, from the Lettergesh community. In the week after David's death we saw the very best of people and the offers of help were humbling. There are too many people to name here but to everyone involved in any way, Irene, Michele and I will always be deeply grateful. Julie

Another quick note from me, kiddo.Hope - well nearly said hope youre ok.But I know you are . wherever you are. You are not forgotten.
No, not here
You're not anymore
In our hearts
You will live on
Where there's no more sorrow
And no more pain
No more storm clouds
No more rain
Your work is done
You've been set free
So rest in peace
Rest in peace
It's so hard to understand
How to let go
Of your hand
To let you fly with
New found wings
To that land where
Angels sing
Your work is done
You've been set free
So rest in peace
Rest in peace
Your work is done
You've been set free
So rest in peace

Hey kiddo, geez, nearly a year gone by since Ive paid a visit. Hours pass into days, days into weeks and month and years. Still not a day goes by that I donthink of you one way or the other...theres a phrase from en excellent movie that so reminds me of you, the thinker, the planmaker, the grasshopper, the one who dared to follow his dreams....I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die...Keep dreaming my friend, in whatever world you are now, Im sure its a better one with you there.

Lay down
Your tired & weary head my friend.
We have wept too long
Night is falling
And you are only sleeping
We have come to this journey's end
It's time for us to go
To meet our friends
Who beckon us
To jump again
From across a distant sky
A C-130 comes to carry us
Where we shall all wait
For the final green light
In the light of
The pale moon rising
I see far on the horizon
Into the world of night and darkness
Feet and knees together
Time has ceased
But cherished memories still linger
This is the way of life and all things
We shall meet again
You are only sleeping.
