DECLAN REGAN Death Notices

REGAN, Declan, Clonboo, Corrandulla, Co. Galway. Declan's family wish to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to all who sympathised with them on the recent sad loss of Declan who left us on Friday 17th January 2014. People showed their support in many ways and the family will be eternally grateful for their kind help at such a difficult time. Thanks to all who called to the house and attended the removal, funeral Mass and burial. Thanks to those who travelled great distances to share in our pain, it really meant so much. Thanks for all the Mass cards, flowers, signed books of sympathy, phone calls, texts and generous donations to St. Pat's Ward, UCHG. Thanks to Fr. Loftus for visiting Declan, his prayers at our house and for celebrating the funeral Mass; and to Fr. Newell and Fr. Duggan who concelebrated the Mass. Thanks to the altar servers for giving their time, Margaret Duggan and Regina Lyons for the beautiful music and singing. Thanks to all who participated in the guards of honour, especially Annaghdown GAA Club, Corrib Celtic, Annaghdown Cycling Committee and Declan's wide circle of neighbours and friends. Thanks to our wonderful neighbours who lit candles around the house. We will always remember the manner in which the whole community turned out to help in any possible way. We thank Martin and Julie Hanley for their sensitivity, professionalism and attention to detail in organising the funeral. Thanks to the gravediggers for their care in preparing Declan's final resting place. Thanks to the Funeral Committee in Corrandulla Church, the traffic management team, and all our neighbours and friends who volunteered their time to assist in any way. Thanks to Annaghdown GAA Club for the use of Declan's No. 14 club shirt and their kind gift of a jersey. Our thanks to Dr. Day, Dr. Kelliher, Dr. Rodgers, Dr. Donnellan, Dr. Sharkey, Palliative Care Team UCHG, the staff of St. Pat's Ward, Mary Quigley, Tommy, Lorraine and all the other UCHG staff members who cared for Declan during his illness. Thanks to Declan's friends and colleagues for their kind support, particularly during his illness. As we struggle to come to terms with our loss we will be forever indebted to our families, friends and neighbours for their support, love and kindness. As it is impossible to thank everyone please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deep gratitude and appreciation. Month's Mind Mass .
