Eithne O'Donohoe Death Notices
O'DONOHOE, Eithne (nee Griffith) Abbeyknockmoy, Tuam, Co. Galway Died 22nd February, 2021 Sean, Joyce, Karen, Patrick, Ruth, James and the extended O'Donohoe family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone for their love, kindness and gestures of support shown to us following the death of our Wife and Mother, Eithne. Eithne passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22nd 2021 in UHG surrounded by her family. A heartfelt thanks to all those who shared our grief and showed their support by standing along the roadside during Eithne's final journey to her home in Abbeyknockmoy; it made Eithne's homecoming very special for us as a family. Similarly, the Guards of Honour and the show of support from so many neighbours, friends, relations and clubs who came out to pay their respects on the morning of Eithne's funeral meant so much to all of us. We would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and all the staff of the Corrib Ward at UHG for their care, attention and most of all, their kindness to Eithne during the six weeks she was a patient there. We express our deepest thanks to Dr. John Lee and Dr. Antoinette Dolan and all the Staff at the Abbeyknockmoy Medical Centre for the care they provided to Eithne. A special word of thanks to Dr. Donal Kelly and his wife Vicky Kelly who provided truly excellent medical care and support to Eithne for over thirty years. A sincere thanks to pharmacist Noel Devery for his professionalism and care to Eithne. Father Ronnie Boyle presided over a beautiful funeral Mass for Eithne. Thank you Father for your kindness and sensitivity shown to us at this difficult time. We thank Geraldine Potter and Gerry Finn for their part in the Mass. We would like to thank Norrie & Ellen Keane and Pat & Laoise Crowe who made such a special contribution to Eithne's funeral Mass with their beautiful music and singing. Thank you to the Greaney Family for live streaming Eithne's funeral Mass. A sincere thanks to the gravediggers; Padraic Moran, Sean Moran, Tom Lally and Kevin Walsh. Thank you to Breda Burke for the beautiful flower arrangements. A special word of thanks to all the staff at O'Donohoe's Filling Station, Shop and Bar & Lounge, past and present, who Eithne shared many a great laugh and worked hard with over the last 52 years. Eithne particularly enjoyed the social aspect of her work and loved her daily interaction with the many staff, customers and friends she was lucky to meet each day. We thank you for the friendship shown to Eithne. We express our deep thanks to everyone both far and wide who have expressed their sympathy and showed their love and support to our whole family since Eithne passed away. The condolences relayed on rip.ie, social media, WhatsApp or text messages and phone calls were very much appreciated. The Mass cards, letters of sympathy and wonderful shared memories of Eithne have provided much comfort and solace to us. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. In gratitude, a Mass of thanksgiving will be offered for your intentions. Month's Mind Mass Due to Covid restrictions Eithne's Month's Mind Mass will be offered in Brooklodge Church on Sunday, March 21st at 11.30am. This Mass will be live streamed on the Abbeyknockmoy Parish webcam on abbyknockmoy.ie and broadcast on parish radio 106fm and 104.5fm.
