Iain O'BRIEN Death Notices

O'BRIEN, Iain - Stradbally North, Clarinbridge, Co. Galway. Who died on the 6th November, 2012. Iain's wife, Aileen, and children, Aoibhínn, Sean, Katie, Iain'sparents Frank and Peggy, sisters, Stephanie, Orla, Nessa, brothers, Oisin and Ultan, and extended family would like to convey our sincere thanks to all who sympathised with us on our great loss, to all who sent Mass cards, messages of sympathy and floral tributes, and those who travelled long distances to attend Iain's funeral. A special thanks to Paul Noonan, Switch Distribution, Iain's business partner for his kindness and support during Iain's illness. Many thanks to Dr Maccon Keane, the nurses and staff at the Galway Clinic, who looked after Iain with great kindness and compassion. Thanks to our kind friends and neighbours who attended the wake, funeral Mass and burial. Special thanks to Fr. Jimmy Walsh and Fr. Derek Cassidy, Fr. Humphreys, Fr. Dermody, Dom Kevin Purcell, Fr. Martin Whelan, for concelebrating the funeral Mass.A special thanks to the Clarinbridge School Choir under the guidance of Mrs Karen Coolahan, St. Joseph Cistercians School Choir, soloist Mick Foley, John Gaughan, and Philip Keegan, who together made the Mass so meaningful. A special thanks to the Under 17's Galwegian's 2010 All-Ireland Rugby Squad, who carried Iain's coffin from his home to the Church. Also thanks to the Mid County Pony Club, St. Joseph's Cistercian College, Roscrea, Connacht Rugby Under 20's and Galwegian's representatives who formed a Guard of Honour. Grateful thanks to our neighbours and friends who provided food and refreshments, attended the car park, and the gravediggers who prepared Iain's final resting place.Thanks also to O'Flaherty's and Donoghue's Funeral Directors. As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. Month's Mind Mass. Sunday, 2nd December, 2012 at 11.30 am in The Church of The Annunciation, Clarinbridge, Galway.
