McDONAGH, John Joe (First Anniversary - 14th February 2011) Creagh Rd., Ballinasloe. John. In sadness we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay, You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, And still you kept on fighting, Until the very end. Your loving wife Mai. Dad. Jesus came to the foot of your bed, These are the words I'm sure He said, You have suffered enough, now take My hand, And come with Me to a better land. Always remembered, especially at Holy Mass, your daughter Mary. Dad. A little tribute sweet and tender, Just to say we remember, Simple words but very true, We will always remember and pray for you. Son John, Ashling, Niall and Conor. Dad. May heaven hold a place for you, Where you can dig and plant, Flowers of the humblest kind, And those of rarest scent. Forever in our hearts, son Dermot, Anne, Diarmuid and Ferdia. Dad. We turn our collar to the breeze, And go about our day, Then somehow something happens, And a memory comes our way, It may be one of happy times, Of laughter, fun and joy, It may be tinged with loneliness, That makes us want to cry, You left us many memories, That make our break our day, But they never fail to let us know, That you're not far away.
