It is with great sadness that we share the news of the death of John Yates.John died very peacefully in the kind care of the staff at St. Enda's Ward, Galway University Hospital. Most beloved and loving husband of Mary (Flynn) and adored father of Alison and Killian. Predeceased by his wife Françoise and his parents John and May.
John will be deeply missed by Mary, Alison and Killian, by his sister Valerie, sister-in-law Monique, brothers-in-law Paul and Gerard and Gerard's wife Vivienne, nieces, nephews and cousins in Ireland, France and the UK, and all who knew him, particularly his Irish Wheelchair Association carers and friends.

Funeral Arrangements:
Tuesday, 7th October 2025
John will lie in repose at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 5.00 p.m. to 6.30p.m.
Wednesday, 8th October 2025
A Funeral Service will be celebrated for John at St. Nicholas' Collegiate Church, Lombard Street, Galway on arrival at 1p.m.
Following this Service, he will be laid to rest in the new cemetery, Bohermore.

Fr. Burke Park entrance to the funeral parlour is closed at present for ground works.
Street parking on Fr.Griffin Road, The Claddagh, Sea Road, Henry Street and can be scarce on Munster Avenue.
