Johnny Duhan Death Notices
Barna, Galway
On Tuesday, the 12th of November, songwriter and musician Johnny met his untimely death while taking his daily swim in Galway Bay.
He is deeply missed by his heartbroken wife Maureen with whom he started his voyage 54 years ago. Treasured by his beloved crew of five children: Ronan, Niamh, Kevin, Ailbhe and Brian, as well as his daughter-in-law Siobhan, sons-in-law Padraic and Ian and Brian's partner Emma.
Adored by his precious grandchildren: Aoibheann, Alanna, Caitlin, Saoirse, Hannah, Aimee, Dylan, Ryan, Sonny, and Paidi. His brothers Eric, Barry, Michael, and sisters Joan, Kay, Patti, and Suzanne, along with the Biggins family Paddy and Sarah, and Dorry and Teresa and along with his in-laws and all of his dear friends, neighbours and devoted fans.
May Johnny's gentle soul Rest In Peace.
Johnny will repose at the 'Cillin' within the Church of Mary Immaculate Queen, Barna (H91 A2T7), on Thursday, 14th November 2024 from 5pm until 7pm. Private removal on Friday, 15th November 2024 from Johnny's house to St. Killian's Church New Inn (H53 H978) for 1pm funeral mass and afterwards laid to rest in Killaan Cemetery, Woodlawn.
House Private at all times.

I was very sorry to hear of Johnny's passing, he was a gentle kind soul.
We had many sessions trying to find the "answer" .
