The death has occurred of Julia Keane (née Creane)

Newcastle, Galway / Galway City, Galway

Julia died at home on Monday, 20th October 2025. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, brothers Michael, Willie and John and sisters Ann, Rita and Cáit. Much loved mother of Della, Liam and Michael. Deeply mourned by her daughter and sons, daughters-in-law Siobhán and Miriam, adored grandchildren Eleanor, Lucy and Matthew, Cathal, Sarah and Gillian and by their partners, great grandson Finn and brothers Tommy and Padraig, She will be sadly missed also by her nieces and nephews and their families, neighbours and friends.

Wednesday, 22 October 2025

Julia will Repose at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway, H91 V1K8, from 6.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seamus Quirke Road.

Thursday, 23 October 2025

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Julia at 11 a.m. and following Mass she will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery.

Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within Claddagh, Henry Street and Sea Road. Parking may be scarce on Munster Avenue.

Car Parks within walking distance:

The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.
