Maisie MORRISSEY Death Notices

MORRISSEY, Maisie - Barnaderg, Tuam October 17th, 2025 The family of the late Maisie Morrissey wish to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the kindness and support received on the death of our beloved mother Maisie. We appreciate every journey made and every phone call, letter, visit and prayer offered, which were a huge source of encouragement and comfort to Maisie and to us over past weeks and months. We are deeply grateful for the many expressions of sympathy we received, including those who visited our home to share warm stories and fond recollections of Maisie. Thank you to those who travelled long or short distances to attend Maisie's removal, Requiem Mass and burial, as well as those who brought refreshments, sent Mass cards and flowers, joined us via webcam and offered online condolences. Thank you to our wonderful relatives, neighbours and friends for your kindness and practical help. A special thank you to all who stood outside your homes in candlelight or walked from the village with Maisie one last time, as she made her final journey home. Thank you to Dr McDermott and the staff of UHG and Galway Hospice, for your care of Maisie in her time of need. And to her home carers, who aided Maisie to live in her beloved home. A sincere thank you to Miko and Bridie Keane of St Anne's Funeral Home for your professionalism and respectful attention to Maisie and kindness to her family. And to the local gravediggers for preparing Maisie's final resting place in this beautiful neighbourly tradition. Sincere thanks to Fr. John O'Gorman and Fr. Joe O'Brien for their meaningful mass and prayers to celebrate Maisie's long and happy life. Thank you also to Pat Crowe for the Church music in Maisie's honour. And to Maisie's extended family who participated in the requiem Mass, we thank you most sincerely. Our thanks to Sean and the staff at O'Donohoes Abbeyknockmoy for your eternal welcome, hospitality and catering. We will thank you personally in time. Meanwhile, please accept this notice as an expression of our deep appreciation. Maisie's kindness, warmth and gentle spirit have left a lasting impression on everyone she met - you and we miss her dearly.
