Marcus McNAMARA Death Notices

McNAMARA Marcus - Kincullia, Loughrea, Co. Galway Marcus passed away suddenly on the 8th July 2025 Marcus's wife Mary, his son Luca, his daughter Sommer, his parents Kieran and Chris, his brother Luke, his sister Ciara and extended McNamara and Costello families wish to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for the love, kindness and support shown to us on the untimely loss of our beloved Marcus. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends and neighbours who visited our home, attended the funeral service and provided emotional and practical support to us at this very difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolence, or made charitable donations to Laura Lynn, we are truly grateful. We wish to thank those of you who gathered in such large numbers and formed a Guard of Honour to welcome Marcus home from France. We will never forget this beautiful gesture. Our sincere thanks to our wonderful neighbours who lined the road as we left Kincullia with Marcus on his final journey. To Loughrea Garda for their escort and to Sarsfields Camogie and Hurling clubs, Loughrea Gaelic Football Club, Seven Springs Cycling Club, St Raphaels College and Bullaun Foróige for their heartwarming Guard of Honour. To our wonderful neighbours and friends who worked tirelessly behind the scenes providing refreshments, cooking, baking, and assisting in countless ways, we are forever grateful. To Pat and Una McDonagh (Supermac's) and Sarsfields Camogie Club, who kindly sent food while we mourned Marcus at home, your generosity was deeply appreciated. To the gravediggers who gave their time to prepare Marcus's final resting place with such care and respect. To Sarsfields Camogie and Hurling Club who coordinated the traffic, the parking attendants, Liam Mulkerrins and Barrett Buses, Gerry Prior and Foróige for providing a seamless shuttle bus service, our sincere thanks. Thanks to Marcus's great friend Fr. Michael Byrnes for the beautiful, personal ceremony and to Fr. Geraghty, Fr Foley, Fr. Iomar, and Fr. Patrick for concelebrating, your presences made the Mass even more special. A special mention for Marcus's godchild Emma Costello for serving Mass so thoughtfully and for Rachelle Earls for arranging the beautiful church flowers. To Fergal Connaire and Gerry Gallagher who provided the beautiful singing and music at the ceremony and the graveside, and for providing outdoor speakers and seating, we are most grateful. To David and Margaret Bradley and D2 Printers for the beautiful memorable cards and photo collage, which captured so many cherished family memories, and to Ann Earls for the Mass booklets, thank you sincerely. Special thanks to Joan, Samantha, Shane and Sean from Kilboys Funeral Directors for their professional and compassionate guidance and for carrying out everything with such dignity and kindness, we will be forever grateful. To our dear friends who went above and beyond with their support and friendship, and who continue to stand by us, we thank you deeply. Thanks to all Marcus's work colleagues from the Schneider Electric's Galway office and to his cycling buddies from Seven Springs Cycling Club whose presence and kind messages brought us comfort. To Garda Paula Coen from Loughrea Garda Station, we extend our heartfelt thanks for your kindness and support. A special thank you to Bullaun Hall ladies members, who worked so hard in preparing and serving refreshments to so many after the funeral ceremony. Your help will be forever remembered with gratitude. To all who helped in any way, please know your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement conveys our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Months Mind Mass Will be held at St Patricks Church, Bullaun at 12.00 noon on Saturday 6th September 2025 "What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose"
