On Sunday, 12 May, 2024, Michael slipped away peacefully, at University Hospital Galway, surrounded by family. Predeceased by his parents John and Barbara and by his sister Martina and brother Joe. He will be sadly missed by his wife Catherine, son John, daughter Ailish and grandson Michael Jnr., brothers Padraic, Johnny, Colie, Peter, Mattie and Jimmy, sisters Mary, Rita, Ann, Nora, Bridie, and Caroline and by his brothers-in-law Domo, Eamonn and Larry and many more relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at home in Annaghdown on Tuesday, 14 May, from 7 p.m. Reposing again on Wednesday, 15 May, at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91 V1K8), from 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Arriving at St. Joseph's Church, Presentation Road, on Thursday, 16 May, in advance of Requiem Mass for Mike at 11.00 a.m. Private cremation to follow.
