BURKE Patrick (Paddy) late of Inisdooras, Cornamona, Co. Galway and more recently residing with Eugene and Nora Lawless, Kilgill, Claregalway, who died on January 13th, 2014. The family of Paddy, including his brother Joe, sisters, Mary and Ann, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, and all his extended family, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our recent sad loss. Thanks to all those who travelled long distances and to all who attended the wake, the removal, Requiem Mass and burial, and to those who phoned, sent sympathy cards, letters, floral tributes and text messages. A special word of thanks to Paddy's cousin, Fr. Martin Moran, for his lifelong friendship to Paddy, his support during this time and for the prayers and lovely Requiem Mass. Thanks to Fr. Hughie Loftus for his regular visits to Paddy. Thanks also to Fr. Hughie and Fr. Peter Connolly for their assistance with the funeral and to the Mass Servers. Our thanks to Denis Geoghegan for the beautiful music and singing, in particular his rendition of 'The Lonesome Boatman'. Our thanks also to Paddy's friends and neighbours who prepared the grave so carefully for Paddy's final resting place. Thanks to the undertakers, Martin Hanly, Corrandulla, and Ciaran, Eoin and Tomás Burke, Clonbur, for their help and professionalism throughout the funeral. Thanks to O'Malleys in Cornamona for providing refreshments after the removal and the staff of Burke's in Clonbur for the lovely meal after the burial. Thanks to our friends who looked after the car parking at the wake in Kilgill. Thanks to the neighbours who took part in the guard of honour and the last walk home from Corrandrum to Kilgill with Paddy's remains and to those who set up roadside altars. We are very grateful to our wonderful friends and neighbours who provided food and refreshments and to all who helped in so many ways during the funeral. Sincere thanks to Dr Paddy McDonagh for his kind care of Paddy over the years and also to Westdoc, the paramedics, doctors, nurses, and medical staff of the ICU, UCHG who looked after him so well on his final day. Thanks to Paddy's many friends who continued to visit him over the years, after he moved from Inisdooras to Kilgill. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. The Month's Mind Mass. Will take place in Cornamona Church Saturday 15th February at 8pm. 'Ar dheis Dé go raibh . a anam dílis'.
