CUSACK, Thomas (Tom) Craughwell, Co. Galway and formerly of Kilfenora, Co. Clare 28th December 2025. We, Josephine and the family of Tom, would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all who supported and sympathised with us on the loss of our dear husband and father. We are deeply grateful to all who called to the house, brought food and refreshments, sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy, floral tributes and messages and to those who left condolences on
RIP.ie. We sincerely thank all who attended the wake, removal, funeral Mass and burial especially those who travelled long distances. Our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Barry Horan for visiting Tom in hospital and for his comforting and heartfelt homily at his funeral Mass. A special word of thanks to all the nurses, doctors and carers who looked after Tom with such warmth, compassion and dignity. In particular, the family wish to acknowledge Dr. Richard Joyce and the staff of Gort Medical Centre. We will be forever grateful to all the staff of Merlin Park and UHG, particularly the staff of St. Patrick's Ward for the exceptional care Tom received in his final days. We also thank Fr. Sean, Chaplain at UHG for his presence and prayers. Thanks to Brendan and all the staff at Quinn's Pharmacy in Gort for their efficient and kind service over the years. A sincere thank you to Tom Cussen and Joe Connors for providing such uplifting music which added so much to the Mass and for the beautiful music by the graveside. We will be forever grateful to our wonderful neighbours particularly those in Lisduff who provided a candlelit Guard of Honour as Tom passed through on his final journey. A word of thanks to Clarinbridge Mens Shed for their Guard of Honour as Tom made his journey to Clarinbridge Cemetery. Thanks also to the gravediggers for preparing Tom's final resting place with such care, attention and respect. To Donoghue Undertakers, Clarinbridge, especially Liam and Pat for the care and professionalism shown to Tom and his family. We are deeply grateful. Thanks to the management and staff of Paddy Burkes Clarinbridge for their excellent food and service following the funeral. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. Tom's Month's Mind Mass Will be celebrated on Friday, January 23rd at 7:30pm in Clarinbridge Church.
