Aileen Madonna DeRocher Murphy

Aileen (Dee) Madonna DeRocher Murphy, 75, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a devoted partner who will be greatly missed. Dee was born in Medford, Massachusetts to Thomas and Alicia Powers and had two children with her first husband. She was a caring attendant to individuals with disabilities for the state of Massachusetts at Fernald State School in Waltham, until her retirement. Later in life, Dee met the love of her life, Richard Murphy, and spent time traveling, playing pool and generally having a ball with him until his death from ALS in 2013. Dee is survived by her two sons, Chris (Deanna), Nathan (Sharon) and grandchildren, James, Teddy, Gerard and Tess as well as her sister, Marilyn (Jake) and many other family members and friends. The family is planning a private burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Aileen's name to the ALS Association.
