Alan Kenneth Miller

ALAN KENNETH MILLER passed away from natural causes on 10 March 2026 in Roswell, GA. He was 86 years old. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of Raymond and Muriel Miller. Upon graduation from the United States Naval Academy (Class of 1961), he entered U.S. Naval Submarine school and then continued his training at the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power school in New London, CT, followed by nuclear training at U.S. Naval Power Training Unit in Windsor, CT. He then served under Admiral Rickover on the submarines USS Tullibee and the USS Simon Bolivar. In his later years, he served as a USNA Blue and Gold Officer in the state of Georgia. His joy at sharing how the USNA and Navy changed his life and helping others follow that path was part of him giving back for all that serving had given him.
After the Navy, Alan had a successful career in business and was involved in his community, church, and his children's many activities. If one of us was involved in something, he was there. He maintained this constant presence while also running a successful business and being an incredibly supportive partner to his beloved wife, June, who sadly passed in 2022. She was the center of his entire world and watching him navigate the last few years without her was hard.
Alan is survived by his three children: Tiffany, Alan (spouse Sarah), and Lyndsey (spouse Dan), five grandchildren, his sister Wendy, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery on April 30, 2026 followed by interment at the Columbarium. There will be a Celebration of Life immediately after.
