Albert J. "Brom" Gambone, 74, of Norristown, Pa, passed away peacefully in his home on February 3, 2026. He was born on July 13, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pa, and was raised by his grandparents, Frank and Jennie (Asko) Gambone.
Al is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary (Todd) Gambone; his daughters, Mary (Scott) Reid and Carol (Reese) Howard; and his cherished grandchildren, Rosey Rodriguez, Shawn Brown Jr., Halle Howard, Reese Howard Jr., Collin Brown, Sara Reid, Scotty Reid, and Mary Brown. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, his beloved Aunt Joan, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine A. Brown.
Al had a big heart and was devoted to his family and friends. Alongside his wife, he owned and operated an Italian deli and restaurant in Norristown for many years.
A devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, Al spent his retirement enjoying the simple pleasures of life: playing pool, bowling, bingo, and shuffleboard. You could often find him at his favorite spot, the Depot Bar, enjoying a Busch beer and singing karaoke. Al loved music, singing, and dancing, and he never missed an opportunity to make others laugh.
As his favorite song from Frank Sinatra would say, "I did it my way" was truly his life's motto.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care and support as Al transitioned to end of life.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
