Albert George Grau, age 84, of Shrewsbury, PA passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, after a long battle with cancer surrounded by family.

Al was born in Baltimore, MD, the second of 8 children born to Frank and Flora (Strassner) Grau. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara (Neubauer) Grau, their children Heather Svahn (John), Eric Grau (Alison) and Jessica Grau, four grandchildren, Ethan, Josie, Asher and Eric, his brothers Tom and Harry and sisters Florann and Carol. He was preceded in death by his son Jason Grau. Al graduated from Calvert Hall College H/S and went to work at Social Security Administration where he worked for 44 years, retiring in 2004.

Al was an avid golfer who looked forward to his semiannual golf getaways with the guys in his Fellowship Golf Group. He enjoyed being part of the Irishman's Chorale for many years performing Irish Songs to Churches and Retirement Homes. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, and our annual family vacations. He also enjoyed traveling, February's in Florida and volunteering at Grace Fellowship Church Shrewsbury.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, 12 pm at Grace Fellowship Church Shrewsbury, 74 E. Forrest Ave., Shrewsbury, PA 17361 with a visitation from 11:30 - 12 Noon.
