Albert Romualdo Mejia, 87, passed away on December 17, 2025, in Waianae, HI. Born on October 3, 1938, Albert was known for his intelligence and magnetic personality, which made him a beloved figure in his community. His sense of humor and jovial nature will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Albert was a dedicated professional who owned his own painting company and spent many years working at Pearl Harbor Shipyard, contributing significantly to his field. His work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit were sources of inspiration to many.
He is survived by his wife Linda Mejia, stepmother, Stella Mejia, 2 sisters Krista Lopez (Vince) and Leonora Smith, two brothers Richard "Bicky" Mejia (Berta), and Raymond Mejia - deceased (Lucinda), five daughters Kim Smith (Vince), Kelly Benson (Cameron), Alberta "BJ" Estrada (Damian), Lori Ann Bean, and Denise Mejia, three sons, Allen Mejia, Damien Mejia, Marcus Mejia, and three stepchildren Derick Matias (Thelma), Denise Rios(John), Delilah Perriera (Bobby), 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. Albert's family was central to his life, and he cherished the time spent with his loved ones.
Memorial Services for Albert will be held at Millian Makai Chapel on February 2, 2026. Visitation will be from 9:15 am to 1 pm, followed by a gathering where guests can enjoy pastries and drinks provided by Millian. Albert's life and legacy will be celebrated in a setting befitting his vibrant spirit.
