Alexa Grace Salomon, age 65, of Frisco, TX, formerly of Glen Ellyn, IL passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
Born on March 21, 1960, in Glen Ellyn, Alexa attended high-school at St. Francis College Prep and later Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn before pursuing further studies at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. For many years, Alexa worked as a legal secretary in Chicago before moving to St. Petersburg, FL, and then to Frisco, TX.
Alexa was the life of the party, a jokester, and had a large and varied group of friends from all walks of life, all of whom she cherished. Alexa especially adored her tabby cat Donny, named after her dad. Donny was her dear companion in her final years when she was primarily housebound.
A special thank-you to Alexa's Salomon family in Florida who were so supportive of Alexa during her years living in St. Petersburg. Immense gratitude to Alexa's brother Curt and especially her sister-in-law Kelly who lovingly cared for Alexa in her last days. Kelly was especially thoughtful in ensuring that Beatlemania Girl Alexa was listening to her favorite Fab Four songs in her final hours.
Alexa was preceded in death by her parents, Constance Alfers Salomon and Donald William Salomon, and her beloved uncles Ralph A. Gabric, Leon E. Salomon, and godfather Jean G. Alfers. She is survived by her four siblings: Robin (Michael) Dye, Curt (Kelly), Andrée (John) McArthur, and Adam (JoAnne). Alexa also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews: Geordie (Sydney), Ivy and Liam Dye; Carly (Carson) Bickert; Grace Fergus (Mark Dobbs); Leigh McArthur (Jimmy Jimeno); Dean, Kara, Jill Salomon (Wendy Zbroskewich); her grandnieces Tallula and Bunny; her special and beloved aunts Shirley Salomon and Joan Gabric; and Alexa's childhood forever-friend Gina Radice. Alexa also leaves behind her special Salomon cousins; her Alfers, Gabric, and Markov cousins and her "Croatian Nation" maternal extended family.
A memorial Mass is planned for Saturday, June 27, 11:00 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 480 S. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL.
