Alfredo “Don Alfredo” Drew, age 82, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Born in Reyes, Bolivia, he built a remarkable life defined by his faith, hard work, resilience, and deep devotion to his family.

Alfredo spent nearly 50 years as a skilled jeweler in New York City, where his talent and craftsmanship earned him the opportunity to create designs for prestigious luxury brands such as Cartier and Tiffany & Co. in the 1990s. He dedicated over 25 years to his final employer before retiring in March 2020. He was a true New Yorker -- was always on the move—quick-paced, focused, and determined. He was quiet and observant, yet those who knew him well cherished his witty and perfectly timed humor. Alfredo was generous beyond measure, the kind of man who would always give more than what was asked. Strong in both spirit and character, he never let life’s challenges slow him down.

Family and friends were always at the center of Alfredo’s world. He made it a priority to stay connected, whether through a phone call, a shared cup of coffee, or time spent walking through the city. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: eating a good meal, watching a good soccer match, checking the price of gold, and collecting coins.

After retiring, Alfredo moved from New York to Houston, Texas, where he spent the last six years of his life surrounded by his daughters and family. He is lovingly survived by his children, grandchildren, and his siblings.

Alfredo’s legacy is one of integrity, generosity, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
