Alice Jane Gaston Baldridge, 84, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, in Reno, Nevada. She was born on March 3, 1941, in Greenville, Kentucky, and was raised in the close-knit communities of Central City and Cleaton, where her lifelong values of faith, family, and kindness first took root. She later made her home in Chicago, Illinois.

Alice was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness, finding comfort, purpose, and strength in her faith and in the hope she held dear. Her faith shaped every aspect of her life, guiding her compassion, patience, and the loving care she showed to others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thelma (Noffsinger) Gaston, and her sisters, Brenda Kay Douglas and Connie Dianne Drousias.

Alice is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Thomas A. Baldridge; her children, Jeff (Laurie) Baldridge and Lisa (Lance) Zurfluh; four granddaughters, Brooke (Matt) Conway, Arielle (Kyle) Skillman, Ashlyn (Mike) Webb, and Allison (Joshua) Castaneda; and eleven great-grandchildren who were a constant source of joy and pride. She is also survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of long-time friends.

Alice found special delight in cooking for family and friends and in writing poetry, often capturing her reflections on life, family, and faith in gentle, thoughtful verse. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, quick wit, and the way she made every person feel seen and valued.

Her life was one of adventure and stands as a testament to love, humility, and steadfast devotion. The legacy she leaves behind will continue to shine through the family and friends she cherished so dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
