Alice McJilton Fox passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, surrounded by loved ones, after several years of declining health due to Parkinson’s disease. Throughout her life, Alice navigated physical and personal health challenges with resilience and quiet determination.
Alice was born on August 15, 1960, in Winchester, VA, the third of four siblings. Throughout her life, Alice devoted herself to her family and the people she loved most.
She found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren—both the human and four-legged kind—relaxing at the beach, and watching crime documentaries. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Alice is pre-deceased by her husband Charles Raymond Fox and her parents, Roger N. McJilton, Sr. and Janet English McJilton. She is survived by two sons: Patrick F. Fox (Julia) of Salisbury and Lucas M. Fox of Bel Air, MD; two daughters: Anna Fox Kilpatrick (Drew) of Fort Mill, SC and Leslie Fox Gagnon (Cole) of Stevensville, MD. Alice is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Miles Fox, Charlie Kay Kilpatrick and Madeline Gagnon, as well as her siblings: Roger N. McJilton, Jr. of Orlando, FL, Michael J. McJilton, Sr. (Bonnie) of Accomac, VA; and Janet P. McJilton of Salisbury, MD. Among her many cherished relationships, Alice held a special closeness with her son-in-law, Cole Gagnon, whom she loved dearly
