Alice Joyce Pannebecker (nee Schokaert), aged 87, passed away on November 19, 2025, in Clinton Township, MI. Born on February 3, 1938, Alice dedicated her life to her family and her faith, finding her greatest joy and accomplishment in raising her six children.
Alice's professional journey spanned various roles from working in retail to being a florist assistant. However, she often expressed that her true calling was motherhood, where she nurtured and guided her children, instilling in them the values of hard work and love. In addition to her devotion to her family, Alice was an avid canner and crafter, skills she passed down to her children and grandchildren, weaving a tapestry of memories and traditions that will continue to live on in her family.
Alice leaves behind a loving family: her children, Brian (Noreen) Pannebecker, Karen (Mark) McKinley, Lisa (Gary) Akers, David (Pamela) Pannebecker, Allison (Michael) Borovica, and Stephanie (David) McKinley; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as two sisters, Roseann (Bill) Mundle, and Pauline (Joe) Minaudo, sisters in-law, Carolyn (David) Walton, and Betty (Dale) Monnier, multiple nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Adeline Schokaert; sisters, Marie (Wally) Demey, Agnes (Jerry) Miner, Joan (Bill) Gipson; and her great-granddaughter, Adeline Underhill.
Alice rededicated her life to Christ, a faith that guided her through the challenges and joys of her long life, providing her with strength and comfort.
Her legacy is not marked by material things, but by the profound impact she had on those around her through her unwavering commitment to her family and her faith. Alice's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of those she loved and the lives she touched.
