Alice M. Wedemeyer

Alice Wedemeyer, 84, of DeBary, Florida, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, Florida.

Alice was born on June 10, 1941, in New York, New York, the daughter of Madeline and William Hegendorfer. In 1962, she married her husband, George Wedemeyer, and they shared 63 years of marriage together.

Alice and George spent many years in Manalapan, New Jersey, where they began raising their family. Over the years, they also made homes in Lewisville, Texas; Ocean Township, New Jersey; Cave Creek, Arizona; and Wake Forest, North Carolina, before eventually settling in DeBary, Florida.

Alice is survived by her devoted husband, George Wedemeyer, of DeBary, Florida, and her daughter, Tammy Wedemeyer, also of DeBary. She was preceded in death by two brothers who died at birth.

Alice served as a church secretary at Hope Lutheran Church in Freehold, New Jersey, where she was a faithful and valued member of the congregation. She was an avid quilter and belonged to several quilting and social clubs over the years, finding great joy in her creativity, friendships, and shared experiences. She also enjoyed baking, a pastime through which she lovingly shared her talents with family and friends.

No memorial service will be held.
